Men's Prayer Breakfastt

1 Timothy 2:8  I will therefore that men pray every where, lifting up holy hands, without wrath and doubting.

The men of Victory Celebration Revival Church gather once each month at 7:30 AM on Saturday Morning  to develop, continue and solidify our Brother-to-Brother relationship with each other and our invited guests. We come before the Lord with a Devotional, Prayers of Thanksgiving and Praise for the Wonders of His Works in our Nation, our State of Tennessee, our town of Shelbyville and in our own personal lives. We ask and petition the Lord to grant the needs of our church in performing the Great Commission and spreading the Gospel of Jesus Christ so that all may hear and that all may receive His Word and to understand the Will of God, which is His Word.

We are experiencing the effects of and answers to our prayers and thanksgiving as God has honored our worship together as men of God.

We pray that all His creation will Believe in His Plan of Salvation for their lives and the lives of their families. We pray for our Pastor and his family, our local, statewide and national leaders and their families  that they be granted the Wisdom and Grace of God in performing their appointed duties.

This is a special time for the men of Victory Celebration Revival Church to get to know each other and help each other in sharing and in praying. "For I know the plans I have for you," declares the Lord, "plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future. Then you will call upon me and come and pray to me, and I will listen to you. You will seek me and find me when you seek me with all your heart."  Jeremiah 29:11-13 (NIV)

Jail Ministry for Men

Men's Jail Ministry is an exciting part of our church.  The Jail Ministry consists of services at two jail facilities: the Main Jail and the Workhouse. Our men and women both pray for this ministry, and all the men who choose to go to the jail services are both ministered to and blessed by being a blessing to the men in the jail facilities. The Lord honors and blesses this ministry.

John Stokes, our Associate Minister usually has two to three men who participate with him in the teaching of the word on a particular Sunday morning at the designated time for the jail service.  We have seen inmates totally changed by the power of God's Word by His Spirit. Men have been born again, filled with the Spirit, delivered from the bondage of Satan, healed in their bodies, and renewed in their minds as a result of the ministry of God's un-compromised Word of Truth.  We have also had the privilege to water baptize many inmates and are so appreciative of our officers and officials over our jail systems for being so cooperative in working with us.  God is really working in our jails because He has been welcomed to come in and work.  Thank God He's  still the same just like in Acts 16:25 - 26.  He will still shake the jails and the people in them when prayer and praise are offered up to Him!

Jail Ministry for Women

Beverly Jo Hall (Pastorette) is very thankful for the opportunity to minister to the ladies in the Bedford County Jail and we appreciate the cooperation of the Bedford County Officers, of the jail, for allowing us the privilege to minister to the inmates. We are allowed to take four of our church women each Sunday into the meeting room to pray, share scripture and be of spiritual help to the Ladies. The people of Victory Celebration Revival Church spend time praying for these services and for hearts and lives to be changed.

The first month that we ministered to the ladies we had 12 born again, 14 filled with the Spirit, 13 baptized (pictures shown above) and several healed.  We witnessed their hearts being touched and lives changed.  We have been able to help some after their release from jail, and continue to pray for them to have the strength to walk away from temptations. It is so wonderful to see Jesus change hearts and lives for His glory.

Below are some comments from some of our ladies that were able to go to the jail to help minister. You will be blessed as you read!

1.    When I first heard of an opportunity to attend a jail ministry meeting, I was reluctant to go.  Visiting a jail is not on the usual list of dreams to attain. But once there I experienced a love and comradery for the inmates that I could not have gotten another way. The ladies have identity all their own which greatly warmed and personalized my prayers for them.

2.    This was my first year to be apart of Women's Jail Ministry and I throughly enjoyed it.  The ladies had their own Jail House Choir, which was very good.  These ladies have made bad choices and decisions which resulted in them being locked up.  But I could tell as the Word of God was preached that they want a better life for themselves when they are released, and I believe by the help of God that they will be able to have a better life for them and their children.

3.  God always prepares His people for things before hand; it is a kindness He extends to them. Before I came to a real relationship with Jesus, most of my life I felt these people deserved exactly what they got when they went to jail. I thought of them as a special breed of people who were hateful and rebellious. I never thought of them as normal. This was before my own son spent time in jail for a DUI . My son was a good Christian guy whose wife left him and took his only child with her. For months he did not know where they were. Under pressure he drank and then got behind the wheel of a car. Not long before I visited the jail, I was given a necklace which read, "If you judge people, you leave no time to love them" (Mother Teressa).

With these incidents in mind, I signed up at church to attend jail ministry. I was reminded of Psalms 105. Joseph was betrayed by his own brothers and was sold. In verse 18 it says that Joseph's heart went into the iron. I was looking into the faces of these women and I wondered, "how much hurt does it take for a persons soul to go into iron?" Wow!  That's a powerful lot of hurt and I saw it. As our ladies ministered, I watched with so much compassion, the tears streaming down the faces of these women. I saw their hurts and their hearts. They were so grateful for visitors. They were real people not just rebellious nothings. When it was time for the singing these women had formed a choir that was so beautiful I scarcely could take it into myself. In Samuel 10-9 God sent Samuel to speak to King Saul because Saul's heart was not right. (Neither was mine right) Verse 9 says, And when Saul turned to leave Samuel, God gave him a new heart. That happened to me also.

4. I signed up for the jail ministry not really knowing what to expect. I was a little nervous about going to a jail, it sounds so creepy. But once I got in there, and was able to share God's love with the women, I instantly loved them. Most were about my age with children; single moms just like me. They were hungry for us to tell them about a new way of life; a way for them to live normal lives. The love we all had for them will last the rest of our lives. I'm very excited about our next visit and hope to see these special ladies in our church soon.

Christian Outreach to The Carriage House

The Carriage House is a Senior Citizen residential/assisted-living facility in Shelbyville. Victory Celebration Revival Church conducts Worship Services at the facility every Sunday afternoon at 4:30 PM to bring the Gospel and the Love of God to the residents. We share in song, in ministering the Word of God, in prayer through specific requests and in sharing our Christian Love with the people, who are precious in our lives and in the sight of our Lord Jesus Christ.

Christian Outreach to World Missions

Above left is Pastor Carl Hall with Rev Jim Montgomery of Montgomery Ministries, which has ministered in the following nations of Egypt, Argentina, Great Britain, India, Turkey, Africa, USA and ministers in and supports several ministries in Israel.

Above right, Rev Mark Wilhite, Psalmist and Teacher of the Word ministers all over the world in song and worship. It is a pleasure to attend his services as it will minister to your heart as God's presence is truly felt.

At Victory Celebration Revival Church, we are a  "Family Church" with a heart for the nations. Our commission from God is to Go into all the world with the Good News Gospel inspiring and leading people into the new-birth (John 3:3) and encouraging them to continue (John 8:31-32) in the Word of God by following the Spirit of God and thereby coming into the knowledge of the TRUTH. (1 Timothy 2:4). Not all of us have the calling to "Go" into all the world, but all of us should have the heart to prayerfully and financially support Christian Outreach to World Missions since that is the Great Commission given to us by Christ Jesus in Matthew 28:19  Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost.

The congregation at Victory Celebration Revival Church  supports selected missionaries and special catastrophes like the Tsunami victims with prayers and with our finances. We actively support ministries and missionaries in Africa, India, China, Estonia, Israel, France, American Indians, and Homeland ministries. In Matthew 25:40  And the King shall answer and say unto them, Verily I say unto you, Inasmuch as ye have done it unto one of the least of these my brethren, ye have done it unto me. And again in Matthew 25:45  Then shall he answer them, saying, Verily I say unto you, Inasmuch as ye did it not to one of the least of these, ye did it not to me. Jesus is telling us to help those who are in trouble and who are in need. Praying first, asking God what He wants us to do to help and knowing He will always make His Will known to us through His Word and His Spirit.
